From 2010 the European Commission and European Parliament will be sharing offices in London, according to this press release. Facilities will include a conference centre, exhibition space and an information centre.
The Commission were reported to be looking at a building in Smith Square some time ago but there was a hitch because of a legal restriction which would have prevented them from flying the EU (or any other) flag.
If this is the same building - in which case presumably they've got round that problem - then I think I'm right in saying this is the former Tory headquarters - irony of ironies!
